Carnival in Praiano 2026

Sunday, February 15, 2026, Praiano dresses up for the celebration of one of the most beloved traditions of the year. An afternoon dedicated to children and families, with a double event that will transform the town into a stage of wonders. From the picturesque Belvedere Muriciello to Piazza San Luca, the streets will come alive with a carnival parade full of surprises. Welcoming young and old will be fairies, stilt walkers and jugglers, while Vito La Sala’s Magic Variety show promises to amaze the audience with acts of magic, mime, illusion, juggling and quick-change artistry.

Carnival is synonymous with fun, costumes and joy, but also and above all with culinary abundance. In Praiano, during this particular time of year, no table is ever without migliaccio praianese, a delicious mixed pasta frittata (long ziti, mafaldine or trenette) enriched with semolina, lard, eggs, mozzarella or fresh caciocavallo, sheep’s milk caciotta or grated pecorino, smoked sausage, pepper, cinnamon and salt.
