Three-day Amalfi Coast itinerary
Three days on the Amalfi Coast are just the right amount of time to stop watching the clock. They are not enough to see everything, but they are enough to enjoy the luxury of slowing down: an extra coffee in the piazza, a stop at a pastry shop, a view to admire without rushing, a lunch or dinner to enjoy at your leisure.
If you have already read our itineraries for one day and two days, you will find some of the same destinations, but at a pace designed to make the most of every moment. The stops are arranged by nearby geographical areas, keeping travel times to a minimum so you can explore without stress and return to our boutique hotel every evening.

DAY 1
8:30 – 9:30 | Breakfast at Albadamare
The day begins in the sweetest way: with a delicious breakfast in our panoramic garden overlooking the sea. And if the weather is not at its best, you can enjoy it comfortably in our indoor breakfast room.
10:00 – 13:30 | Praiano
The first morning is entirely dedicated to discovering Praiano. Here, time seems to have stood still among quiet alleyways and white houses clinging to the rock.
Start with a visit to the Church of San Gennaro Bishop and Martyr. Located in the square of the same name, which offers a beautiful panoramic view, it is topped by an oval dome covered in colourful majolica tiles, while inside it houses several works of considerable interest. Then head to the Church of San Luca Evangelista, known for its beautiful majolica-tiled floor dating back to 1789, as well as its valuable paintings. Finally, make your way down to Marina di Praia, one of the most characteristic spots along the coast, for a refreshing stroll before sitting down for lunch.
13:30 – 15:00 | Lunch in Praiano
For lunch in Praiano, we recommend Il Pirata and Trattoria Da Armandino at Marina di Praia, as well as La Strada restaurant on Via Gennaro Capriglione. All three offer magnificent sea views.
15:30 – 20:00 | Positano
In the afternoon, head to Positano, world-famous for its postcard-perfect scenery, with pastel-coloured houses climbing the cliffside above the sea.
Take an unhurried stroll through the narrow streets of the historic centre, browsing the traditional fashion boutiques and enjoying the scent of jasmine. Stop at Marina Grande beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy and one of the most photographed places on the Amalfi Coast, and visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, renowned for its finely decorated interior and spectacular majolica dome made up of yellow, green and blue tiles. Then visit MAR Positano – Roman Archaeological Museum, which mainly showcases the remains of a large Roman villa.
20:00 – 21:30 | Dinner in Positano
End your first day with an elegant dinner featuring fresh fish, choosing between Next2 on Via Pasitea, which offers contemporary cuisine with plenty of creative ideas, and Lo Guarracino on Via Positanesi d’America, overlooking the beautiful Fornillo beach.

DAY 2
8:30 – 9:30 | Breakfast at Albadamare
The second day begins, as always, with our breakfast.
10:00 – 11:00 | Fiordo di Furore
The Fiordo di Furore is a short but intense stop. This remarkable inlet, carved over thousands of years by the Schiato stream, is home to a small pebble beach just 25 metres long, framed by the steep walls of the gorge and overlooked by the state road bridge spanning the narrow ravine. A corner of unspoilt nature that also captivated film director Roberto Rossellini in the past.
11:30 – 13:30 | Conca dei Marini
The next stop is Conca dei Marini, an ancient and picturesque fishing village whose name derives from its distinctive basin-shaped geographical formation.
With two hours available, it is best to focus on two attractions rather than trying to explore every corner of the village. The first is the Torre del Capo di Conca, a 16th-century watchtower perched above the sea. Although the interior is not open to visitors, it is well worth stopping to admire its architecture and the panorama that unfolds all around it. The second is the Church of San Giovanni Battista, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the entire stretch of water within the bay, with numerous works of art enriching its interior.
13:30 – 15:00 | Lunch in Conca dei Marini
For lunch, you can stop in Conca dei Marini. One pleasant option is Le Bontà del Capo restaurant on Via I Maggio, near the Church of San Giovanni Battista, where you can sample traditional local seafood dishes.
15:30 – 19:00 | Amalfi
In the afternoon, head to Amalfi, the ancient and glorious Maritime Republic, which can easily be explored on foot from one end to the other in about twenty minutes.
The beating heart of the town is Piazza Duomo, dominated by the Cathedral of Saint Andrew with its impressive staircase and monumental Neo-Moorish façade featuring Gothic Revival influences. Also visit the Cloister of Paradise and the Diocesan Museum in the Basilica of the Crucifix. Afterwards, treat yourself to a sweet break at the historic Pasticceria Pansa, also in Piazza Duomo, before venturing into the narrow streets of the historic centre towards the Paper Museum, housed in a 13th-century paper mill and telling the story of one of Amalfi’s most important traditional crafts.
19:15 – 20:15 | Atrani
Just a few minutes from Amalfi lies Atrani, a charming village that has preserved much of its original layout, made up of narrow streets, arches, small squares and characteristic flights of steps.
There is no need to plan an elaborate programme for this stop. One hour is enough for a stroll through the historic centre and a stop in Piazza Umberto I, surrounded by numerous cafés and restaurants and overlooked by the Church of San Salvatore de’ Birecto, which today has its 19th-century appearance.
20:15 – 21:45 | Dinner in Atrani
Stop at one of the restaurants in Piazza Umberto I or choose between A’ Paranza, on Via Traversa Dragone, and Le Arcate, on Largo Orlando Buonocore, for a dinner centred around the flavours of local tradition.

DAY 3
8:30 – 9:30 | Breakfast at Albadamare
The third day also begins with our breakfast.
10:30 – 13:30 | Ravello
The morning is dedicated to Ravello. Perched on the hills above Amalfi, over the centuries it has captivated artists such as Giovanni Boccaccio, Gore Vidal, Virginia Woolf and Truman Capote.
The three hours available allow you to explore the historic centre at a leisurely pace and visit its main attractions. After visiting the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and San Pantaleone, which houses relics, ancient legends and a valuable museum, head to nearby Villa Rufolo, south of the Duomo. The villa dates back to the 13th century and over time has been enriched with structures featuring different architectural styles. What truly makes the complex special, however, is its garden, where plants and blooms frame enchanting views.
14:00 – 15:30 | Lunch in Minori
For lunch on the final day, head to Minori, known as the “City of Taste” for its renowned culinary tradition. Places worth adding to your list include Giardiniello on Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Taberna 33 Bistró in Piazza Ettore e Gaetano Cantilena.
15:30 – 17:30 | Minori
Nicknamed the “Narcissus of the Amalfi Coast” because of the distinctive nature of its landscape and the extraordinary fertility of its land, Minori is a small and welcoming destination that has been a holiday resort since ancient times.
From a cultural perspective, Minori’s main attraction is the Roman Maritime Villa, which offers an insight into the splendour of the summer residences of Roman patricians in the period before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. From the villa, continue towards the centre and stop at Pasticceria Sal De Riso to sample one of its specialities before reaching the Basilica of Santa Trofimena. The building, whose present appearance is the result of a reconstruction begun in the 18th century, houses the relics of the town’s patron saint.
17:45 – 20:00 | Maiori
The final stop on the itinerary is Maiori, a town that, although partly rebuilt following the 1954 flood, preserves an interesting architectural and artistic heritage.
The town centre stretches around a long beach and a wide seafront promenade, ideal for an afternoon stroll. Highlights include the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare, set in an elevated position and distinguished by a majolica-tiled dome that echoes the colours of lemons and their leaves; and the gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo, whose layout is said to resemble the Maltese cross, in honour of the order to which several members of the family of Marquis Mezzacapo belonged.
20:00 – 21:30 | Dinner in Maiori
Finally, end the day with dinner at Ristorante Torre Normanna. Located on Via Diego Taiani, it occupies an ancient watchtower dating back to the 13th century. The cuisine highlights locally caught fish and regional products, with a menu that combines tradition and culinary creativity.
Tip. If you are driving towards Salerno the following day, set aside a few hours for Cetara, a fishing village closely linked to the tradition of anchovies and anchovy colatura, or for Vietri sul Mare, a town famous throughout the world for its traditional ceramic craftsmanship.
