Cetara Experience – Festival of the Sea and Local Traditions
From 5 to 8 August 2026, the charming fishing village of Cetara, located just 25 kilometres from our boutique hotel, will host Cetara Experience – Festival of the Sea and Local Traditions, an event celebrating the area’s rich historical, cultural and culinary heritage.
For four days, the streets of the village come alive with a packed programme of events, including live performances, concerts, workshops, cultural activities, demonstrations of traditional crafts and food and wine experiences that showcase Cetara’s deep connection with its maritime heritage.
The theme of the 2026 edition, “The Sea That Unites Us,” highlights the sea’s central role in the life of the local community. For centuries, it has been a source of livelihood, culture and identity, shaping the village’s past, present and future.
Throughout the festival, visitors can wander through the picturesque alleyways of Cetara, enjoy historical re-enactments, visit the ancient tuna fishery, sample authentic local cuisine and take part in unique experiences such as the traditional lampare fishing excursion, offering an unforgettable insight into the village’s seafaring traditions.
Cetara Experience is designed for everyone: families, children, culture enthusiasts, food lovers and anyone wishing to discover the most authentic side of the Amalfi Coast through the traditions of one of its most captivating seaside villages.
